Hi Jay. I have PTSD and I have been through my share of hard times. Fortunately for me, when I had a painful life crisis I did happen to have money to be able to get help for myself. I go to therapy 3 days a week. I work very hard on myself because there is a lot that was wrong with my life but I am proud to have overcome.

The government will not help you. You are hurting but the truth is that the only person who can help you is yourself. You can’t do this alone, your getting out of this hole depends on your ability to take in help for yourself. I could not have gotten better by myself. I got better when I got help. You are in a life crisis. Trump and Obama are of no consequence to you. What is very very important for you is to reclaim your mental clarity so that you can get your life back on track.

I don’t think you are a hateful person. I think you are angry and you are right to be angry. Emotions don’t come from nowhere, your anger has a source. You are not crazy but are also not clear on the sources of your anger. This is normal. I had to do a lot of work in therapy to figure our the causes of my anger. It was very painful to do this work but it changed my life.

Therapy will cost too much for you. Its frustrating that in our country we do not have the services to take care of people but you do need support.

You should check if there is a debtors anonymous group in your vicinity. Just Google it and look for a meeting. In a group like this you can share feelings, learn more about yourself, gain a sense of community and DA has tools to help people get back on their feet financially and its free except for voluntary contributions. I have not gone to DA personally but know friends who really depended on it to get out of financial trouble.

If there is no DA group go to Al-Anon or ACOA (adult child of Alcoholics).

My parents didn’t drink but I go to ACOA anyways. Its been very helpful to me.
