I felt sad reading this because it is true and it breaks my heart. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to help someone else. They have to help themselves and a lot of people are not in a place where they can help themselves. Unfortunately in addition to school shootings there are everyday consequences to the families and friends of men who are affected by addiction, emotional unavailability and isolation from much needed fathers, father figures etc
