My therapist was concerned that I was writing to avoid intimacy and I think that is
true. It’s easier to share from behind a screen than face to face but we agreed that it was part of my process and I am transitioning to being more comfortable being authentic face to face now than ever before. Writing is important processing for me. You mentioned that therapy is too expensive for you but I think there could be workarounds. You can attend 12 step meetings pretty much anyone can go to al anon and coda and they are virtually free. The key is to develop authentic friendships where you are vulnerable along with your writing
