Yes I agree that asking for assimilation is reasonable. In the 80’s we gave money to extremists in Afghanistan because we wanted them to fight a proxy war against communist Russia and then we spend billions on shock and awe in Iraq and on bombing Afghanistan and what we have gained from all this is more terrorist attacks, more radicalization.

No, we have never spent on education and on changing hearts and minds. Its the terrorists who have invested in that and they do so because brainwashing more and people makes them stronger and they win.
